Indiana Medical Associates began in 1937 when Dr. Arthur Ferguson set up a small medical practice in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Guided by a progressive attitude and a deep commitment to helping people in need, he became known and respected throughout the community. A talented Internist, Dr. Ferguson was one of the first physicians in the area to pursue extensive training in the field of Cardiology.

Throughout the years, the practice that started over a half century ago has continued to grow. In the early 90's, the practice consisted of 29 physician specialists and was known as Indiana Regional Medical Consultants. The specialties included Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. On January 1, 1998 Indiana Regional Medical Consultants became Indiana Medical Associates, LLC. Today Indiana Medical Associates is home to 35 physician specialists with three offices located in Fort Wayne.
